Profile

Chisato Miura is a devoted Odissi dancer from Nagoya, Japan and the Director and Coordinator of the Japan branch of Tridhara. Deeply inspired by a performance in Japan by her Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda, she was drawn to the path of Odissi and later travelled to Odisha, India to train under his guidance. As his disciple, she continues to study and perform in the Guru Debaprasad Das style of Odissi.

In 2016, with the blessings and permission of her Guru, she established the Japan branch of Tridhara and has since dedicated herself to promoting and propagating this tradition of Odissi in Japan. She also organizes Tridhara's annual tours to Japan and regularly presents performances, workshops, and cultural programs across the country.
